1 The app provides no content
SabiStream is a neutral IPTV/media player. It contains no channels, streams, movies, series, playlists, subscriptions, or TV services. You add your own source, such as an Xtream Codes login, an M3U/M3U8 playlist, or a Stalker/Ministra portal. You are responsible for having the right to access any content you add and for following the laws and terms that apply to your sources.
2 Your playlist logins
When you add a playlist, your details (server address, username, password, portal/MAC, or playlist URL) are stored encrypted on your device using Android’s encrypted storage. They are sent only to the IPTV service or playlist URL you entered, in order to log in, load your catalogue and guide, and stream. They are not sent to us.
3 What the app stores locally
The app may store your playlists, favourites, My List, hidden channels/categories, locked channels/categories, watch history, Continue Watching positions, watched episodes, reminders, EPG choices, category customisations, and app settings on your device. We do not collect or receive this information.
4 Backup and sync
You can use manual encrypted backup files and, if you choose, Google backup/sync.
- Manual backup: the app creates an encrypted
.sdbkbackup file and saves it wherever you choose, such as device storage, USB storage, email, or your own cloud storage. We do not receive it. - Google backup/sync: if you sign in with Google backup, the app stores an encrypted SabiStream snapshot in your Google Drive app data folder (
appDataFolder). This folder is private to this app, hidden from your normal Drive files, and tied to your own Google account. It is used to restore/sync shared app data across your phone, tablet, and TV. - What syncs by default: playlists/logins, favourites, My List, hidden/locked content choices, EPG choices, reminders, Continue Watching, watched episodes, recently/most watched data, and category customisations.
- What stays device-specific by default: theme, text size, interface scale, TV remote behaviour, phone gestures, player/device performance settings, startup behaviour, and other display or hardware-specific preferences. Which playlists are turned on or off is also a per-device choice: sync delivers a playlist added on another device saved but switched off, and never switches playlists on or off remotely. Your parental PIN is stored only on the device where you set it and is never included in any backup or sync.
- Wiping Google backup: Settings includes a wipe option that deletes SabiStream’s current and previous snapshots from your private Google Drive app data folder. This does not delete local data on the device.
5 Error and crash reports
The app never sends crash data silently. If you choose to send feedback or an error report, it prepares a report and opens your email app so you can review and send it. Technical reports are encrypted so that only the developer can read them, and login passwords are removed before diagnostics are included. A report may contain the app version, device model, Android version, and technical error details. Sending is always your choice.
6 No analytics, tracking, ads, or playlist sales
The app contains no third-party analytics, no advertising SDK, and no tracking SDK. We do not build a profile of you and we do not sell data. SabiStream does not sell, provide, recommend, or bundle IPTV playlists or subscriptions.
7 Network connections
The app connects over the internet only to:
- the IPTV service, portal, playlist URL, programme-guide source, artwork URL, or stream URL you add or that your source provides;
- Google services when you choose Google sign-in/backup;
- your email provider when you choose to send feedback.
It makes no connection to a SabiStream content server because SabiStream does not provide content.
8 Permissions
- Internet & network state — to connect to your source and stream.
- Notifications — to show programme reminders and recording notifications.
- Foreground service & wake lock — to keep a scheduled recording running.
- Exact alarm — to start scheduled recordings on time when you grant it.
- Run at startup — to re-arm scheduled recordings after a restart.
- Google account / Drive app data — only when you choose Google backup/sync.
9 Children
SabiStream is a general-purpose media player, is not directed at children, and does not knowingly collect information from children.
10 Your control and deletion
You can delete local app data by logging out, resetting the app, clearing app storage, or uninstalling. Manual backup files stay wherever you saved them until you delete them. Google backup snapshots can be deleted from Settings using Wipe Google backup.
11 Changes
We may update this policy as the app changes. The “last updated” date reflects the latest version.
